What can be better than hobby oriented software? If you're really fond of movies and you have an impressive collection, than you'll certainly want to take a peek at All My Movies. It's a complex database for your collection.

There's nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to installing this program on your PC. Just download the 11 Mb kit and run it. The process won't require additional stuff to be installed. You can run it straight away.

The interface may scare you a little, but not because it's all tangled up, but there are lots and lots of variables that you can add for an item. Aesthetically speaking, the interface looks great. On the left side of the main window you'll find a list which you can fill with titles. You can view this as a standard list, cover thumbnails or see your covers placed on a shelf, also customizable to look more than one way. This is all done from the "view" menu from the window's top. There are quite a few options in the menus, but the most important one can be found a bit lower, on the toolbar. The others are simpler to access if you right click in a certain area. This way, you'll have the option you need handy and won't need to search all the menus.

Clicking a cover will display all the title's details on the right side of the main window. Here, you can see all sorts of data, such as actors, directors, dates and it all depends on how much information you want to have. Adding a new item to the collection requires just a click on the designated button on the toolbar. This will bring up a window where you can insert all the info you'll ever need. If you want to have an idea about how much you can add, you should know that the new entry window contains six separate tabs. One of them is an episodes organizer, so you can also add TV series. You can organize your titles in various ways. Besides the obvious organizing by title, actors, directors, etc. you can add markers like favourite, seen, wish list or you can create your own markers.

If you have a film on your hard drive, there's an interesting way to adding this to your list. Click on "add movie from file", target it in the browser that will show up and some info on it will already be typed in, such as title, duration, and more. Another neat trick is the way in which you can add a screenshot. In the new entry window, under the screenshot tab, you can play the movie and capture a screenshot which appears in the details part of the main window. If you add an item in this manner, you can immediately play the movie just by selecting the title and clicking a button from the toolbar.

Pros

The amount of features offered by this program are too many to list. There's quite a number of ways in which you can organize your collections and interact with IMDB.com using the sleek looking interface and a lot more.

Cons

The only thing to complain about is that you need to take your time to see all the program's features. All My Movies will satisfy all your needs for creating your own digital, fully interactive, movie library.
